  • 2 tbsp gluten-free cocoa powder

  • 2 tbsp sugar (or your preferred sweetener)

  • 1/4 tsp pure peppermint extract

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

  • Whipped cream (optional, ensure it's gluten-free)

  • Crushed gluten-free candy canes or chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the Milk:

    • In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat. Stir occasionally to prevent it from scalding.

  2. Make the Chocolate Base:

    • Whisk in the cocoa powder and sugar until fully dissolved.

    • Heat until the mixture is warm and well-combined (do not boil).

  3. Add Flavorings:

    • Remove the saucepan from heat.

    • Stir in the peppermint and vanilla extracts.
